Bikes Built for Tanzania

Meet the Bike2Kili Fleet

We believe a bike should be chosen according to the rider, the terrain and the type of experience.

Some rides call for a lightweight and responsive hardtail. Others demand the suspension and control of a full-suspension enduro bike. And for riders who want assistance on longer or hillier routes, an e-bike can make cycling more accessible.

Which Bike is Right For You?

There is no single “best bike.” The right choice depends on the type of ride you want.

Choose the SUNPEED Cheetah if you want:

  • A lightweight mountain bike
  • Traditional cycling without electric assistance
  • A responsive hardtail
  • Trail and mixed-terrain riding
  • A bike that is efficient and relatively light

Choose the COMMENCAL META AM 29 if you want:

  • A serious full-suspension mountain bike
  • More suspension travel
  • Greater capability on rough terrain
  • An enduro-style riding experience
  • Stronger components for demanding trails

Choose the eBee eBX if you want:

  • Electric pedal assistance
  • Less physical effort
  • Help on hills and longer rides
  • To cover more distance comfortably
  • A more accessible cycling experience

If you are unsure, tell us about your route, cycling experience and what you want from the ride. We can help you choose.

Bikes for Different Cycling Experiences

Our bikes are used for more than simple bicycle rentals.

The type of bicycle you choose can depend on the experience you are planning.

Exploring Moshi

For exploring Moshi and the surrounding countryside, a hardtail or e-bike can be a practical choice depending on your preferred level of effort.

Cycling Around Kilimanjaro

Cycling in the Kilimanjaro area can involve different surfaces and gradients. Your choice of bike should take into account the route, distance, terrain and your experience.

Mountain Biking

If your focus is technical or more demanding mountain biking, the COMMENCAL META AM 29 provides a much more capable suspension platform than a conventional hardtail.

Longer Cycling Routes

For longer rides, comfort, fitness and terrain become particularly important. An e-bike can help riders manage the physical demands of distance, while experienced riders may prefer the efficiency and direct feel of a conventional mountain bike.

Guided Cycling Tours

The bikes in our fleet can also be part of your guided cycling experience with Bike 2 Kili.

When you book a cycling tour, tell us about your riding experience and requirements so we can help determine which bike is most appropriate for the planned route.

Bringing Your Own Bike to Tanzania?

If you are an experienced cyclist traveling to Tanzania with your own bicycle, you may have questions about bike support, repairs or maintenance during your trip.

Bike 2 Kili also has bicycle repair expertise in Moshi.

If you are traveling with your own bike and need assistance, contact us before your trip to discuss what you need.

How We Know The Good Bikes

Bike 2 Kili is a cycling-focused company based in Moshi.

Our work brings together bicycle rentals, guided cycling experiences and bicycle repair.

This practical connection with bikes matters.

We understand that a cyclist may care about things that are easy to overlook when a bicycle is treated simply as another piece of tour equipment, things such as gearing, suspension, tyres, braking, comfort and how the bike feels on different terrain.

Whether you are renting a bicycle for a day or joining a longer cycling experience, our aim is to match you with a bike that makes sense for the ride.
