9-DAY CYCLING AROUND MOUNT KILIMANJARO BIKE TOUR

Ride Around Africa’s Tallest Mountain

Tour highlight

Ride around the base of the world’s tallest free-standing mountain. This 7-day bike tour takes you through the villages, farms, and wild plains that surround Mount Kilimanjaro.

While most visitors stay in one place, you will cycle all the way around the mountain. You will see every side of the peak while visiting local tribes, seeing wild animals, and learning about life in the shadow of the “Roof of Africa.”

The Best Parts of the Trip:

  • See the Mountain from Every Side: Complete a full 360-degree circle around Kilimanjaro. Every day you will see a new view of the snow-capped peak as you ride through different landscapes.

  • Ride with Wild Animals: Experience a “Bike Safari.” Ride quietly on your bike to see Giraffes, Zebras, and Elephants in their natural home. Without a loud car engine, you can get much closer to nature.

  • Meet the Maasai & Chagga People: Cycle into the heart of local villages. You will meet Maasai warriors in the dry plains and Chagga farmers in the green hills. It is a rare chance to see how people live and work on the mountain.

  • Visit Coffee & Fruit Farms: Learn how your morning coffee grows. You will pedal through large coffee plantations and banana groves, seeing firsthand how the rich volcanic soil produces fresh food and drink.

  • Full Support on Every Mile: You don’t have to worry about the hills. A support vehicle (the “SAG wagon”) follows you the entire way with water, snacks, and a seat if you need a break. We take care of the bags and the bikes so you can enjoy the ride.

Distance covered: Km 335 | Road type: Dirt road, Gravel Road and Tarmac Road
