Petra2024-03-29Biking through the life of “Africa” …..brilliant sporty tour with the MTB through the “culture and nature” of Africa, ending with an original African meal in Moshi TownFreedom293794798182024-03-04Top agency with experience We booked a 2-day tour in the Western Kilimanjaro area. The routes were partly sandy, partly rocky, mostly flat with a few small hills. All in all, no problem for anyone who has ridden a mountain bike or gravel bike before. For people who are only used to city bikes, it could be a bit challenging in places, as you can get quite shaky. You should definitely wear cycling shorts and gloves. Although we were fit enough, the sun was already giving us a hard time from 11am. It was a good thing that we were constantly accompanied by a vehicle so that we always had the option of ending the tour earlier or taking a break and continuing later. The staff (3 super nice people) also organized a picnic in the shade. After a good 40km, we had had enough on day 1 as we were showing signs of sunstroke (the high sun was the limiting factor). Our accommodation "Kambi ya Tembo" was an idyllic tented lodge with a fantastic view to the boarder of Kenia and of course on Kilimanjaro (we had luck that it wasn’t cloudy). Here we were able to relax very well, have a delicious dinner and start day 2 with full „battery“. This day started with a drive through the wildlife past zebras, giraffes and antelopes. We also interrupted the tour briefly to drive out to see elephants, as it would have been too dangerous on the bike. It was perfectly fine, the sun was already blazing again from 10 a.m., so a break in the spacious "safari bus" came in very handy. After 2 more hours of cycling and another picnic in the shade, we finished our bike tour with great pictures and impressions. All in all, very nice guides, especially Jackson, who was great to talk to and had a lot of experience. We can definitely recommend bike2kili.Kate B2024-02-11Unforgettable local experience!! We had an amazing time on the bike tour with lots of experiences during the day: riding through local villages and seeing lots of locals, eating sugarcane straight from the field, walking through rice fields, seeing lots of exotic fruit trees and baobabs and so on! It was a complete immersion into Moshi local life, local population and nature. The organization was great as well: we had transfer both ways (to bike2kili office and back to the hotel), good bikes, lots of water, big portions of food in the end (including vegetarian), the route was well-planned. Said and his team is very sociable and shared many facts during the tour, and the tour itself was very easy-going and fun. Would absolutely recommend!oris0202024-02-10Highly recommend professional and personal friendly service Very pleasant ride, beautiful views of the soroundings areas.
