Itinerary
FIRST STOP: MOMELLA GATE IN ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Upon reaching Momella Gate at Arusha National Park, your guide will provide essential permit details. Following that, you’ll receive a bike, a safety helmet, and an armed ranger who will accompany you throughout your ride. This ensures your safety and allows you to enjoy a close-up experience with the wildlife as we cycle through the park.
SECOND STOP NGONGONGARE TO MINI SERENGETI
Our second stop is Ngongongare plains en route from Momella Gate, with our support vehicle and ranger accompanying us. Here, we’ll take a break at the Mini Serengeti, also known as ‘Serengeti Ndogo’ in Swahili. This grassland, located approximately 500 meters north of Ngongongare Gate, boasts a variety of wildlife such as giraffes, Cape buffalo, elephants, zebras, antelopes, warthogs, black and white colobus monkeys, and more. The diverse fauna is the reason behind its fitting nickname.
THIRD STOP: MOUNT MERU CLIMBERS STARTING POINT
After biking 20 kilometers to Mount Meru climbers starting point, we will finalize our day tour. We will take a short break for snacks and meet Mount Meru climbers who are getting ready for their challenging trekking experience. After the break, you will board a vehicle for a transfer to Lake Momella (one next and final stop).
LAST STOP: MOMELLA LAKE
The Lake Momella is known for its alkaline nature, hosting a diverse array of bird species such as Flamingos, waterfowl, and other migratory birds can often be spotted along the shores, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. There we’ll have lunch, enjoy the view of Mount Meru, and even spot hippos nearby.
Finally, we’ll take you back to your place in Moshi or Arusha. It’s a fun and easy way for everyone to have a great time exploring!
